Summer boots

With good reason, we’re obsessed with the weather here in the UK. Planning what to wear from one day to the next can be taxing. Doesn’t take much at the moment to find anything taxing it has to be said, remembering what day it is for more than half a hour, can also be somewhat testing in this lock-down-ish fug.

When the weather has been fine/sunny/windy/cloudy… basically not raining, my small folk love to go cycling in our local park. It means that I can meet a socially distanced mate to put the world to rights, or discuss in depth our dinner making plans for that night as we sit on a wall and watch the kids cycle round and round and round.

All human life heads through the park and it’s great for people watching. A couple of weeks ago a woman was chasing her small person across the bit where we were, she was wearing a cornflower blue-ish midi dress… she was also wearing a pair of slouchy tan boots which I keep thinking about…

This week, the same mate popped round for door step drinks (anyone have ANY clue about who, when, or where we can meet up these days?). It was raining so much so that umbrellas were up and even the unspeakable cagoules HAD to be worn. My friend was wearing flip flops; pure madness. Cold feet make me sad/cross… I wore boots. It maybe July but it felt fabulous, warm toes. Whilst my boots were black chunky lace up hiker boots from the winter, I keep thinking about the brown tan boots from the park so I had to do some investigations…

These are the best approximation I can find… perfect now when trainers don’t feel right… AND perfect for taking into autumn (sorry, not wishing the summer away… just talking versatility people)
